We're here to help
Got a question before we launch, or something not working right? Start with the FAQ below, or email us directly — we'd rather hear from you than have you stuck.
Get in touch
Send us anything — a question, a bug, feedback on the app. A real person reads every message.
We typically reply within 1–2 days.
We're a small studio that answers its own mail — no ticket queue, no chatbot in between.
Before launch
When does it launch?
Howl Big is under development — we are building the iOS and Android apps right now. Join the waitlist on the home page and we will email you the moment it is live.
Which platforms will it be on?
We're launching on iOS first, with Android following soon after. If you're an Android user, join the waitlist and we'll let you know the moment it's ready for you too.
Which countries and languages will it support?
Howl Big launches in 30 languages, so most people will be able to use it in their own language from day one. The size prediction itself works the same everywhere — it isn't limited by country.
About predictions
How does the prediction work?
You take a photo of your puppy, and we detect their likely breed (you can always correct it if it's off). Add their age, current weight, and sex, and we predict their adult size as a range that narrows as they grow, then generate an AI picture of what they might look like all grown up. From there, you can log monthly weigh-ins and see how they're tracking against the typical curve for pups like them.
Is the grown-up photo a real photo?
No — it's always a clearly labelled AI-generated prediction, made from your puppy's photo and their breed and size prediction. It's our best visual guess at what they might look like as an adult, not an actual photograph. Your real photos are never altered and stay exactly as you took them.
How accurate is the prediction?
Our size predictions are built from 14.96 million anonymised veterinary weight records and checked against roughly 394,000 dogs tracked from puppyhood to adulthood. Accuracy improves the older your puppy is when you start — predictions made closer to adulthood are tighter than ones made at 8 weeks old. For the full numbers by age, see our accuracy page.
Does it work for mixed-breed puppies?
Howl Big can predict adult size for mixed-breed puppies too, from about 4 months old. If the detected breed doesn't look right — whether your puppy is mixed or purebred — you can correct it any time, and the prediction updates.
My puppy is outside the predicted range — why?
Every puppy is a little different, and our ranges are built to cover about 80% of dogs of a similar breed and age — so some puppies naturally land above or below the typical curve. The range also narrows as your puppy grows and we have more check-ins to work from, so early predictions are wider than later ones.
Is this veterinary advice?
No. This is for information and fun, not veterinary advice, and it isn't a substitute for an actual checkup. If you have concerns about your puppy's growth or diet, please talk to your vet.
Your data & account
How do I delete my data?
You can delete your data any time — look for the delete option in the app's settings — or email us and we'll take care of it for you. For exactly what we store and for how long, see our privacy policy.
What happens to my puppy's photos?
Your puppy's photo is used to help detect their likely breed and to generate the AI grown-up portrait — that's it. You can delete it any time, the same way you delete the rest of your data. Full details are in our privacy policy.
How do refunds and cancellations work?
Howl Big subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through the App Store or Google Play, so cancellations and refunds are handled by them, not by us. On iPhone: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions. Cancel there before your renewal date to avoid being charged again, and use Apple's or Google's own process to request a refund on a specific charge.
How do I report a problem with a generated image?
Email us with the image attached — the actual file, not just a description of it. That's the fastest way for us to see exactly what went wrong and fix it.
Still stuck?
If the FAQ above didn't cover it, just email us — we'd rather hear from you directly.
